Our service division is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, every day of the year to serve you. We are proud to boast fast response times to any issue you may have. It is imperative to ensure your sprinkler system is in proper working condition through check-ups and inspections. Safety is paramount in your home or business.

Did you know that when sprinklers are present, the chances of dying in a fire are reduced by 50% to 75%, depending on the type of structure involved. A proper sprinkler system is added peace of mind.

Prairie Fire Sprinklers has one of the largest stocked warehouses of sprinkler components in the area, which allows our service department to get your system up and running faster than most.

Inspections

Prairie Fire Sprinkler provides fire sprinkler inspections and tests that comply with Environmental Agencies, Public Health Agencies, OSHA, NFPA, Life Safety Code, State Fire Marshal, building code, local fire department and fire insurance carrier underwriting requirements. We also provide the necessary record keeping required to comply with the above listed agencies.

Simply installing a fire sprinkler system will not satisfy the requirements of building codes, fire codes, and insurance companies. Generally, each one requires regular, periodic testing of fire sprinkler systems to assure they are functioning properly. If you have a fire and you do not have proof that your system has been inspected annually by a licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor, your insurance company may, and probably will, deny your claim. Insurance companies and state law require a yearly inspection of your sprinkler systems, so call us today to make sure you are compliant. We also do flow tests for municipalities who cannot provide them.

Although there are several different codes and agencies that regulate fire sprinkler systems, most of the appurtenances that require inspection and testing remain consistent throughout requirements, and only differ when it comes to the acceptable frequencies. The following, is a partial list of the most common inspection and testing requirements for fire suppression systems:

Item Inspected Tested
Control Valves Weekly/Monthly Quarterly
Check Valves Internal 5 Years
Alarm Devices Quarterly Quarterly
Building Annually
Sprinklers Annually Every 50 Years
Pipe Hangers Annually

* NFPA recommends that the main drain tests be performed quarterly when backflow devices are installed.
